lost auction and don't understand why?

I've used this service for a while and it has worked very well, up until now.

Last night the auction ended on $US1001, my max bid was $US1021 and it was not even placed, what's up with that??

Your bid was too low.
The bid increment is 25 so your bid should've been at least 1001 + 25 = 1026.
Your snipe 1021 is lower than 1026, that's why you lost.
