Bid went straight to Max

Won this item but it seems only my max bid was entered 14.38

earlier bids only reached 12.50. Also had this with another item last week any ideas ?

There is a bid of 14.05 on that item.

You would have seen it as 12.50 before your bid was placed because eBay only shows what is necessary to win the auction not the actual amount bid.

Gixen always submits your maximum bid, it is eBay that calculates the auction price and what you pay.
