I think you are misunderstanding how Ebay (and Gixen) work.
The highest accepted bid on Ebay always wins, no matter what you do you can't win for less if an earlier bid is higher than yours.
This is why Gixen always submits you maximum bid. If your bid is accepted and you are not the winner of the auction the bidder that did win must always have been prepared to pay more than you were.

Post subject: Bid against yourself :)
Sorry for my English.
There is my tought how to beat ebay proxy:
Bid a little more from mirror server than from main server.
Here is theorical example:
last price in auction is â¬30.
Someone place a MAXIMUM bid â¬100, lets say bidder_A. No one knows this maximum, Ebay proxx bids â¬31.
No one more bidding except snipers.
So almost at the end of auction sniper from main server bids â¬32. This is your bidding.
And OTHER snipers bids â¬32 / â¬33. Default time about 4-6 seconds.
Bidder_A, not you, wins because ebay proxy bids â¬34 3-4 seconds before end of auction.
And there gixen feature: bid from mirror server a little bit more than from main server and almost at finished auction, that means 2 seconds.
Really I don't know how much time need ebay proxy to estimate situatian. Maybe proxy bidding is not atomic and need some time.
