Hi, many thanks for your reply - much appreciated. As I was using Gixen at the time I assumed the error was related to Gixen. I'll follow your advice.
Thanks again
Dave

Says right there in your report:
Application Name: Prospector.exe
which has nothing to do with the Gixen website or the Gixen Desktop Manager software if you downloaded and installed that.
But there are several, and some dubious, programs that install and run an executable called Prospector.exe including Stock Prospector, Email Prospector, Lead Prospector, Dwarf Fortress Prospector (a game - not kidding)... And something called
Prospector for eBay
which, again, has nothing to do with gixen.
I would strongly suggest you run a thorough virus and malware scan on the computer having the problem. And check your computer to see what program folders contain that prospector.exe file as well. Perhaps you installed a program you forgot about.

Post subject: Gixen crashing and high memory usage
Hi, for some time now I've been experiencing problems with the Gixen front end. The first issue is that it will crash, I've pasted the info below. Also, it will periodically start using huge amounts of memory (up to 1GB) causing my PC to slow down and requiring Gixen to be restarted. Any ideas what could be causing this please?
