Ramona, you are right, Gixen mis-interpreted the return page as winning page while it was not. I am fixing this so that it doesn't happen again.
The bid was too low, ebay bid increment in that price range is GBP 0.50.

Your bid, although higher than the winning bidder, was less than one full bid increment (which at this level is 50p) higher than the winner. This means that eBay would not accept it as a bid. However, because it was higher than the winner, perhaps Gixen got mixed up in the message that it gave you?
Looking at this listing, the relevant bidding went:
16:35:24 f***d bid GBP 10.01. Underbidder (3***n) had bid GBP 8.00, so f***d would have been winning at GBP 8.50.
19:08:26 n***0 bid an unknown amount. eBay shows him as the high bidder at GBP 10.51, which is one bid increment above f***d's bid.
19:08:32 Three seconds before the end of the auction, Gixen tries to place your bid of GBP 10.89. eBay rejects it because it is less than a full bid increment above the high bidder.
19:08:35 Auction ends. n***0 is the winner.

Post subject: Snipe executed and \"won by mirrior\" but not act
I set up a GBP 10.89 snipe with a three second offset. After the auction was complete Gixen showed that my snipe had been successful in winning the auction (by the Mirror). However, eBay showed that the auction had been one by another bidder at a lower price (GBP 10.51) with their bid being placed six seconds before my snipe was due to be placed.
I could understand it if I had not won the auction because the offset had been set to close to the auction finish and the bid was not made in time to be registered and win the auction. However, if this had happened surely Gixen would not show that the Mirror had won the auction for me.
EBay ID no 391050316682
If anyone can help me with this I would be really grateful.
