shekvl1, it's highly unlikely this will happen again. I can recall less than 10 such events in the last 7 years (excluding those caused by ebay, but in such cases nothing helps).
I added a year of mirror subscription to your account.

Dear Mario,
Thanks a lot for your job and your kind reply. Frankly speaking, I was not expected to win this item (the winner definitely bid higher than the winning price and my bid was just a bit more than this price) so this is not really a problem in this case.
On the other hand, just a question: which measures can I use from my side to reduce the risk of this happening again (as it makes me worrying a bit about the possibility of this happening with more important items or the items where my bid would be much higher than the winning price).

Indeed it seems it was late from both servers. I cannot determine whether the reason was on Gixen side (double late failure), or ebay was slower than usual. I suspect it's the latter, but have no way to prove it. This was the only instance of double failure that I can see today.
Please email me and I will do my best to compensate you.

Post subject: Auction ended early - both main server and mirror
Today my snipe failed (both main server and the mirror) with an error "Auction ended early". This is the first time I see this happening (being a happy user since the beginning of the year). Could you tell me the reason of both snipes failing in this case?
The item ID is 151125683354, I left the snipe information in place for now. Thanks in advance.
