Thanks Cupid and Mario,
I thought I had entered differnt prices but I guess in the excitement of the moment I forgot. I'm now a true believer (and Mirror-joiner), I think this is fantastic.

Sparrow,
You won this auction. Your manual bid was the same as snipe amount entered into Gixen, and it was entered before Gixen, so Gixen received a "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE" when trying to place the same bid.
Gixen will display "WON" status only when it wins it itself. If you want to avoid this in the future, and Gixen to display won status, enter a snipe in Gixen 1 cent higher than your manual bid.

Sparrow,
Was the snipe Mirrored?... Sometimes you will get "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE" when the other server wins the item.
Similarly if you bid manually before Gixen is to bid and your Gixen bid is not more than your manual bid then ebay will reject the Gixen bid... saying it has to be more than your earlier bid... so Gixen then displays "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE" in that case also.

Post subject: Bid under asking price item #360716622195
Hi, I'm new to eBay and this great site but I won the above item, yet gixen shows me as losing it for bidding under asking price, which I did not. I may have confused the system by also placing a manual bid--fearing a system glitch, but the FAQ seemed to say that would not cause a problem. Could please explain what happened...I'm a bit afraid to trust the system
Thanks

When you say "just watched them" you probably mean that you imported your watchlist? When you import your watchlist, Gixen sets your bid at 0.00. That snipe will never be sent away, but it's still regarded a snipe, so after auction ends status is set to "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE".
