You have a fair point, however I think that a program that accesses the registry, for any reason, is far more likely to by regarded as malware by virus protection software.

Post subject: GDM Password Storage
I was briefly playing around with the Desktop Manager before I discovered the greasemonkey script.
My one big qualm is that my password is stored in an .ini file with just a one letter/number offset. I realize passwords are pretty easy to come by if you have access to a computer, but is there any way you could tuck this away in the registry or somewhere not so obvious?
Maybe I'm paranoid... :shock:
