Remember that when you snipe, ebay bid increment rule works against you. Your bid is the last one arriving, and has to be higher than the current high bid for at least an ebay increment in that price range. That is the only drawback of being a sniper.

Post subject: auctions not going to me, but sold at my bid
In the last two weeks I have had two auctions completed at the exact amount of my top bid, but going to someone else. On the first, gixen said that minimum bid wasn't reached. Listing party sold and shipped it to someone else. On the second auction it was sold to someone else for the exact amount of my high bid. I'm seeing a trend. What gives?
