Regular groups and contingency groups are completely opposite in nature.
The first won item in a regular groups will cancel all the others. The first lost item in a contingency group will cancel all the others. So if you really used the contingency groups that's the expected behaviour.
If you used regular groups, the other item should have been canceled. If not, please let me know what the item numbers are and I will investigate immediately what happened.

Post subject: contingency group bidding
I recently use the contingency group bidding function and it appeared to fail the primary functionality. I entered bids for two items that were closing several days apart. I then update the two bids with the same contingency group number. I won the first of these bids but the second bid is still active one day after the winning bid. As a new user I have used this function once before and it seemed to work fine. Is there something I do not understand about using this feature? :?
