Ah..... that makes sense! If I'd looked properly, I would have seen that the relisted item ended with BIN. I didn't realise you couldn't add a BIN option when there were already bids, though.
Thanks for the enlightenment!

The seller ended the first listing and cancelled all bids on it, they were not able to edit the listing to put a Buy It Now option on it because it already had bids.
They then relisted with a Buy It Now Option and a minute or so later, the buyer purchased it with that option, so it ended.
I think most likely the buyer contacted the seller and asked if they would accept a certain price, the seller did and that is how they went about selling it to that buyer.

Post subject: can anyone explain this?
Hi guys...
This is really an ebay, not a gixen question, but i thought some of you may be able to explain to me how this happened, cos you seem to understand the arcance workings of ebay much better than i do...
So, I had a snipe scheduled on item 190328530721, which was due to end in a couple of days. Last night, I logged in to my account here and noticed that the auction had been ended early - ebay said at 23.06 (19th aug). In my ebay watched items, i saw that the item had been relisted. Hooray! I thought... BUT, when I went to view the relisting, - item 190329638252 - it had already ended, at 23.10 (19th Aug)!!!
Now, my bid was significantlly higher than the selling price so I'm kind of annoyed (though not with gixen, i hasten to add, as there is nothing i/you could have done.... even if i had been manually watching the item, and seen it end early, i probably wouldn't have caught the relisting in time....)
More importantly, I'm slightly bemused and curious as to how someone could have ended an item and relisted it with a finishing time less than 4 minutes away? And why on earth would you do that?!
