My guess is that this was a temporary ebay glitch, as this is the first and only time I saw this. They must have been doing something with their front-end at the time. Sorry, hopefully you can find a similar item again.

Post subject: Snipe not made with unknown error
Hi, I used Gixen for some months flawlessly but today I just missed a snipe.
Item number is 220230117841
My bid was 21.66
Winning bid is 15.50
On status field "UNKNOWN ERROR (2)" is shown
Pressing "View error" button this text is displayed (the name of the protocol was replaced by h__p because message was rejected) :
--------------------------------------

description The server does not support the functionality needed to fulfill this request (Method =150241494273&maxbid=207.00&quant=1POST is not defined in RFC 2068 and is not supported by the Servlet API ).

I want to underline that although I'm a little sad to have lost the auction I'm very happy about Gixen and I hope information provided here will be helpful to solve the problem.
Best regards
