Maybe I am mistaken or possibly you decided that this was asking for trouble. Anyway, I had been using another web based sniping service for a couple years. It worked fine for me, had some nice features like thumbnail images, extensive records of past bids & no limit on the number of bids. I sometimes place very low bids on numerous similar items. I get outbid on these most of the time but when I win a bid, it is at a very low price. Anyway, besides the fact that it is free, I really appreciate Gixen's neat, clean, easy to follow layout. The 10 bid limit has not been a problem so far but if it were, I still have a few bucks on deposit with the other service. I've scored on 4 bids now with Gixen. 3 of them were very low bids which is a big improvement on my record. It's common sense. Several years ago I was trying to find a domain name that's short and easy to memorize. Gixen is the shortest domain name I could find at the time. There is no meaning to the name, and no known brand name.
