I got this AI generated response:

Yes, eBay is currently testing changes to auction bid increments, which has led to some reports of inconsistent bidding increments. While the official increment schedule is still in effect, eBay is experimenting with changes, including potential increases in increments for low-priced items. These changes may not affect all users and are part of a testing phase.
I'm also seeing reports about this on the ebay.com user forum.
From the bidding that we can see on that auction it looks like a $25 bid increment is being used, in that price range, even though it should only be $10:

Post subject: Question on why I lost (new user)
I had my bid set on 820, and the winning bid was 802. I use the free version so my default was 6 seconds. I can see that it never placed a bid for me either, by checking the bid history on ebay. Love this concept of this, but I am curios if I did something wrong?
