Mario, similar circumstances...bidding just ended on item Number 330104792322 with a winning bid of 5.75. I had placed a gixen bid of 6.04 and when over your site indicated I bid below asking price. Can you further explain why the 6.04 was not accepted when the winning bid ended up being 5.75? I appreciate all that you do and thought maybe I did something wrong. Have a great day.
Post subject: bidding increment
So if I understand what may have happened, the bid of 5.75 was probably entered at 9 seconds before end according to the ebay site. Therefore I have to conclude that my bid thru Gixen was made after the nine seconds, which meant that I would have to have bid 6.26 to record a winning bid. thanks a bunch Mario, keep up the good work.. TB

It's not similar :)
Bid increment in that range is 50 cents, so your bid needed to be at least 6.25 to be accepted by ebay. Google for "ebay bid increments" and you will find the appropriate page.

Found it. The seller changed the end time.
Auction ended at Apr-06-07 05:26:34 PDT.
The original end time was Apr-06-07 06:26:34 PDT.
So the end time was pushed one hour ahead, and when Gixen was about to execute the snipe, it was already too late :-(.
Now, why would someone move the end time one hour ahead, I don't understand.

Post subject: didn't snipe
I bid $69.68 on item 160101621431 some days ago. It closed last nite; winning bid was $27.68. Do you know what happened? Thank you. This is the 1st problem I've had since signing on.
