That's not an error message, it's a status.
It's also not a status that would be present until after Gixen attempts to place the bid, on your behalf, at the end of the auction. Before that it would have been SCHEDULED, as per your other snipes.
What I'm getting at is that highlighting a snipe failure of that type isn't really going to actually help anyone in real time.

Post subject: if a bid does not authorise, can u pls highlight the error
When I mention 'ok' messages in my last post, I did literally mean the message said literally 'ok', what I meant when I write 'ok' is that the function was succesful, for example with the bid status message, the literal value of status is 'SCHEDULED' and should be in green text, the status value of 'NOT AUTHORIZED' should be in red

yes, the status column in the web interface (see image)
'NOT AUTHORIZED' should be red, bold or both

Are we talking about the web interface that you get to from logging in here or something else ?
Error messages here are in red and seem bold to me.
There aren't any 'ok' messages, so every message is critical to the operation that you are trying to perform.

Turns out I needed to reauthorize my account so the code is ok, however my edit request is still valid, ie error messages need to have a contrasting background and / or the error text be in a contrasting colour / bold.

Post subject: if a bid does not authorise, can u pls highlight the error
I just tried to increase the bid on an auction from $840 to $850 but the edit did not authorise, but in addition it somehow invalidated the entire bid as the final price was $750 and a bid was not made.
Saving again fixes it, but when the status colour of the 'error' text is the same as the 'ok' text so it is very easy to miss this, especially when placing bids at 3am in the morning.
As a fellow programmer that is in my 40n years as a developer, I have never seen a mission critical error message that was in the same font, size and colour as the 'success' message.
really pissed TBH
this is a one line fix so can you please implement it
thanks
