I think you emailed me about this... if you use Windows 7, that could be the problem. There are no updates for it 4 years already, and this includes outdated SSL root certificates.

I uploaded the latest GDM version, 2.2.0. Please download it - it should fix at least some of these issues.

on one Win7 I get 12175 error. Then on another Win7 I get Server certificate invalid or not present.
So obviously somthing on server side. Maybe it is to do with the clocks altering here in UK to BST?

I don't have any Windows 7 equipment left. Mario might have.
It's getting harder with each passing year to support that OS, Microsoft stopped support themselves at the beginning of 2020.

Code:
I'm running Edition: Windows 10 Home
try this (Gixen Desktop Manager) on a W7 x64, if you have available?
I installed anew on a W10 - login, success..
copy that back to a W7 - nope
(with or without .ini file)
if you/anyone else can try this + confirm, maybe help.
Or is GDM still working for anyone on W7?
As also noted, GDM has ran without problem for years (by me) previously on W7 until now tho.

I don't think there ist something wrong with the account. I can start snipes online. Currently it looks like the Android-Version works also. But i can't use the Windows-Version. As like \"guest\" from above, I changed nothing, not Gixen, not Windows.
When I click on the \"Desktop-Manager\"-Button, the 12175-Error appears immediately. Then I click on the \"OK\"-Button, the Desktop-Manager starts. In the Status-Line is written \"Getting user settings from Gixen...\" and nothing more is happen. I can't see any snipes, it looks like the login will be not completed.

OK, thanks,
It still must be something to do with the account, i.e. something different between yours and mine as I can't find any issues running it at the moment. Issues that are hard to reproduce make it harder to track them down and fix.
How many snipes do you have scheduled at the moment ?

hi mario,
cant speak for OP, but mine was an entirely functional install (1 year+) with no issues prior - cant see why dir permissions would have altered. Also getting initial login errors on web (see below) and thats zero to do with GD - password never changed. Tried changing permissions on GD manually, re-downloaded GD and ran from different directory - this gives no error on start, then credentials prompt, hangs (Not responding) when these are entered. Close and restart, back to 12175. It def seems a password error, eg, Settings>Credentials>OK - also 12175. I assumed it was server (your) side as web login initially did not work and OP had exact same error.
Not dramatic, as said, web now works anyway, kinda, will leave and see if anyone else has same. You havent changed password strength or anything?

Does GixenDesktopManager.exe have write access to the working directory? It requires this to create/read/write ini file.
