Thanks very much for your help, and for your explanation.
I was able to use gixen successfully tonight for a sniped bid.
Thanks for your attention and replies, and thanks for a great service! :)

When you change your password on Ebay it is more common for them to block your account from logging in via remote locations like the Gixen server(s).
This is because that kind of activity looks, to Ebay, very much like what happens when an account is hacked. They are only trying to protect your account from that happening, but unfortunately services like Gixen get caught in the crossfire.
These days, I recommend that when you change your password, you don't use a service like Gixen for a short while, to let things settle down, though I realise that is not always practical.
Since it was a while ago now I doubt you will find there is any issue now... but come back and let us know, either way.

I had to change my password on ebay, and it happened on my next snipe after that... I did change my password on gixen to match the ebay password.
I have not tried it since then, since I did not want to lose an item I wanted due to this error again.
I can try again today or tomorrow with something, and see what happens.
Thanks.

Once you have logged in there are two tabs on the page, they are labelled:
'Gixen Main - Chicago' and 'Gixen Mirror - Miami'
You can click on these tabs to swap between the two Gixen servers.
Since you didn't know this, I am guessing that you have not yet upgraded your account to have the Mirror option enabled ?
Was this log in failure, for your snipe, a one off occurrence or is it happening regularly ?

Did you get this same failure message on both the Main and Mirror tabs?

Post subject: \"log in failed\" help please
ebay item # 262812914762
I attempted to bid on this item, but received a message from gixen that the log in failed (after it was too late to manually enter a bid, of course). My ebay user id and password and gixen user id and password are identical.
What can I do to fix this?
TIA
