[quote="Cupid"]The detection of a later snipe that outbid yours has to be done after the auction has competed, as a separate operation from the placing of the bid. I thought I had one because Gixen posted my bid 5 seconds B4 the end (I think) and I was the high bidder (green banner.) And all of a sudden about 2 seconds after me, the banner turned red because someone else had sniped the auction (probably) and won.

Hi Mario,
I didn't understand your post until just now.
I was referring to the banner on eBay in my initial post, not Gixen.
Now I understand that you were talking about when you "Modify" in Gixen.
In my original post, I was laying out the sequence of events on eBay and why I thought I had won the auction because of the green eBay auction banner. But even after I was declared the winner by Gixen, the eBay auction banner turned red, meaning that I had lost the auction because I was out-sniped.

Post subject: Gixen Says I WON, But I Actually LOST.

Hi Mario,
I didn't see this error anywhere in the Support section, so I am reporting it here because I think you should be aware of it.
Item #182201799032
I thought I had one because Gixen posted my bid 5 seconds B4 the end (I think) and I was the high bidder (green banner.) And all of a sudden about 2 seconds after me, the banner turned red because someone else had sniped the auction (probably) and won.
However, Gixen reported the auction a win for me.
I thought you would want to know.
Thanks, David (Craftique_Cards)
