Ouch! I wish I could block all traffic from that region from messing with my websites too - it got so bad in past years that I had to shut down several sites. Good luck dealing with them.
As for my Gixen problem, it started early yesterday and is unrelated to the Hong Kong attack, so my recommendations above remain valid.

I just wanted to add some useful insight into this issue, because this has been happening to me every month or so.
1) Ebay can place these restrictions on you for many different reasons. The most common reason, as mentioned, is when you schedule multiple Gixen snipes for auctions ending on the same second. Other reasons for Ebay banning Gixen are unknown at present, but they are definitely happening with greater frequency.
2) Following Gixen's recommended steps for fixing this error (cache clearing, using Gixen's proxy, etc.) may or may not fix the problem. My theory is that there are different kinds of "Ebay bans". More often than not (at least for me), there is absolutely nothing you can do to lift the restriction, even following the steps, re-setting your password, doing manual verification 10 times, etc. In fact, you are probably better off doing nothing to avoid making it worse. So far, these kind of restrictions seem to be lifted after waiting ~48 hours.
So, if you receive this error, I would recommend following Gixen's recommended steps a maximum of 1 time, completely ignoring Gixen for 48 hours, and then logging back in and trying again.
It's not optimal, but until Ebay stops its war against sniping programs or Gixen's talented developers figure out a solution, this is going to be an ongoing issue many of us are going to have to deal with.
I would also recommend not relying on Gixen for particularly important auctions, even with the mirror service, since these restrictions appear at random and block all snipes.

2015usboul,
Yes, keeping the bids apart by selecting different offsets seems to alleviate the problem somewhat, but perhaps not entirely when the auctions end at almost the same second.
The 'CANCELED - VERIFICATION CODE REQUIRED BY EBAY' status is a result of an earlier 'COULD NOT BID: PHONE OR TEXT VERIFICATION REQUESTED BY EBAY', all later snipes are cancelled by Gixen once it knows that Ebay has imposed sanctions on your account... in order to avoid making the situation even worse for you, and potentially the other Gixen users, since Ebay are not beyond taking action against IP addresses that it regards as causing it issues.
calamazoo2015,
Yes, the fact that snipes are stored using both your Ebay id and password is a deliberate and documented feature of Gixen.
I advise anyone planning to change either to first delete all their scheduled snipes from Gixen, since the change to the credentials will cause all of them to fail in any case.
In addition causing Gixen to try to log into Ebay with invalid credentials can only cause you hassle with possible sanctions taken against your account (as will be the case if you are getting the statuses mentioned on this thread), or cause the whole community problems by having IP addresses that Gixen uses blocked by Ebay.

Post subject: ERROR MESSAGE
YES TWO DAYS IN A ROW. i WANTED TO WARN YOU IF YOU CHANGE YOUR EBAY PASSWORD ALL YOUR CURRENT SNIPES WILL VANISH. SO BEFORE SIGNING IN WITH THE NEW EBAY PASSWORD DUPLICATE YOUR PAGE. SO YOU STILL HAVE A LIST OF YOUR SCHEDULED AUCTIONS SO YOU CAN RESNIPE THEM.

The most common known cause is having snipes that result in bids being placed on more than one auction at exactly the same time.
This may be causing my issue, how do you get around this, some of the items I want are all listed at the same time or within seconds of each other? I thought that changing the timing of mirror and regular site would keep them from going at the exact same time? Am I wrong here?
I keep getting this same error as well.
Thanks Cupid!

This is most likely specific to your accounts interaction with Ebay via the Gixen sever.
Have you enabled the Gixen socks proxy in your browser?... and then placed a manual bid, which will go via the Gixen server, just like the Gixen software is configured to do. That is the only way to accurately reproduce the conditions that cause this status to be displayed on your snipes.

Anyone else get this error today? I tried direct bids, and they are going through fine. Missed some great items this afternoon.
