I'm an infrequent eBay user and Gixen sniper. I specified a $19.53 snipe for item 252282538055 and won at $17.50 at END-5 sec. The previous bid was for $17.00 at END-9 sec. $17.00 was also bid at END-60 sec. So is the $0.50 increment an eBay feature for this auction, or a Gixen feature (I think not?). I thought eBay simply took the Gixen bid, instead of acting as if incremental bids occur on my behalf up to the Gixen bid value. Thanks for your explanation, and Mario for a beautiful creation!
A maximum bid placed on gixen follows the same bidding rules as if you sat in front of the eBay page and entered the bid yourself. The automatic bid increment rules are a function of eBay - you are never going to pay more than one needed bid increment over the last highest bid.
So... are you complaining that you wanted to pay more?

Post subject: my specified snipe bid is more than my winning bid
