Thanks for explaining! Makes me feel a lot more confident that everything was working as it should. I had thought it would have said that I've been outbid but I guess at the time it was a bid under the asking price as it was lower than a bid placed at the same time mine was to be. Thanks again.
This is normal behaviour.
The winning bid was placed in the last three seconds.. so the auction price was above the amount that you were willing to pay, at the time that you specified that the bid should be placed...
Ebay will reject the bid under those circumstances and 'BID UNDER ASKING PRICE' is the status that you will see on the snipe from Gixen both on the Main and the Mirror.

Post subject: Bid was never placed...
Hi! I''ve been using your service for a while and this is the first time I've had a bid not placed. It was auction # 262138427411. Both the main server and backup were at 3 seconds. The outcome says BID UNDER ASKING PRICE. Auction ended at $86.00 and my high bid was $81.89. I wouldn't have won anyway, but it concerns me my bid wasn't placed. Would feel better knowing why. Thanks!
