Thanks for the reply mark. I'm sorry I didn't read through the posts more, I got a bit confused but I think I understand now after reading your reply. I thought I was being good my logging into my gixen straight after changing my eBay password but that's what caused the problem isn't it?! So how long shall I leave it before trying again? Shall I put a snipe in tonight and see if that works or leave it longer? Or shall I just email Mario directly? Many thanks x
Not mirrored yet. : "Sign in information is not valid."
I will go through the steps listed about the email change, and then if users are having success with the mirror service, i shall purchase it.

Vertamps,
The Gixen Desktop Manager is not a means of avoiding this issue.
That program is an alternative to the web interface... it passes the information about the snipes to the Gixen server... the Gixen server is then responsible for the actual sniping... It is not necessary to have the Gixen desktop manager or even your computer running for snipes to be executed.
Perhaps you are confusing the Gixen Desktop Manager with the functionality provided by Jbidwatcher?
If you would like your failed snipe to be investigated further please can you provide more details, like the auction number and the status value provided by Gixen after the auction had completed.
Since you are not a regular user I am guessing the snipe was not Mirrored?... However, if it was, the status provide on the Mirror tab would also be useful in providing support for your issue.

What about a desktop program that will auto bid for you with your home computer just running and hooked up to the net? Just missed out on an analog synth that needed repair, Fist time using Gixen in a few years and had no knowledge of recent issues. But hey, thanks for the awesome snipes in the past!

Awesome, thank you, I'll take your advice and leave it a couple of days and then do a test snipe xx

Given that these snipes were less than 24 hours ago I would advise not logging in to Gixen today and leaving it until tomorrow.
It is, of course, your choice if you choose to try to take things further sooner than that.
If it were me, I'd submit my bids manually for today, and if I were able to log in to Gixen as normal tomorrow than I would be reasonably confident that snipes would execute as required from then on... and if they did not that is when I would contact Mario via email.

As advised elsewhere on this forum I now advise people not to attempt to log in to Gixen within 24 hours of changing their Ebay credentials.
This is because it is not uncommon for Ebay to take measures against accounts that they see changing credentials in one location (your computer) and then logging in from another (the Gixen server). That kind of activity looks very much like the sort of thing that happens when an Ebay account is compromised... sniping services like Gixen just get caught in the cross hairs of measures that Ebay then take in order to try to protect your Ebay account from such illegal activity.
Fortunately, Ebay's protection measures are usually short lived... so if the issue persists for more than another day or so then I would recommend, as always in cases that relate to personal credentials, that you revert to contacting Mario direct via email at the support address provide on the 'Contact' tab above. Always include your Ebay id but never your password in such communication. At that point specific advice relating to how to alleviate the problem can be provided which for security and privacy reasons you would not want to discuss on an open forum such as this,

Post subject: Snipes today haven't worked
I changed my eBay password on Friday and made sure I used the new password in gixen today but the two snipes I did today haven't worked and your error message was 'sign-in information is not valid'.
The item numbers are: 252152488024 and 151871509845
I've used gixen for years and this hasn't happened before, can you help please?
I checked eBay and I had a confirmation email from them saying my password was changed successfully.
Many thanks.
