Just to confirm - I had the same problems with windows 10 (some error about sockets just after login) but it was fixed by running in compatibility mode, Windows XP SP3. (as our other correspondent suggests)
Right click on the Gixen desktop icon and select 'troubleshoot compatibility' - keep going through their options until it allows you to select Windows XP3. |

OK, glad you got the Gixen Desktop Manager to work for you.
I recommend that you report Windows issues to Microsoft. |

Compatibility Mode XP Service Pack three worked. As aside Windows 10 has major bugs. I can use it but I have numerous work arounds.

Please try running the GDM in backwards compatibility mode..others have had success with the latest versions of Windows that way.
I am not sure what you mean by 'The file explorer crashes'.. please explain further if it has anything to do with Gixen and/or sniping. |

With window 10 I get a socket error every time I start the GDM. Socket Error 10060. Say connection time out. I have a 90 mbs connection. I am running Windows 10 64 Bit. Windows 10 is full of bugs. The file explorer crashes.
