To put what Mario just said in a different way... when you log in with new credentials you lose access to any snipes set up with the old credentials... so if you have not made a note of what your snipes were before logging in with new credentials there is no way to get them back... you have to add them all again from scratch.

If you changed your ebay password, Gixen will still allow you to log in with the old password until the first time when you log in with the new password. So it's important to check that you logged in to Gixen with your present ebay password, or snipes will fail again.
The second question - correct, sniping is done from Gixen servers. Once you schedule your snipes you can turn off your computer if you wish so.

Post subject: Failed to bid!!!
This is my first time using Gixen and I watched it count down and make NO bid on my auction. There was no error, no bid, no evidence it even attempted, it simply just counted down and then stated auction complete. HELP!?

Many thanks Mark, I have e-mailed the support address - presume that reaches Mario direct.

The target country only makes any difference when you need to open a case against a purchase, Ebay (certainly used to) only allows you to open a case on the site that the original winning bid was placed.
So though it might be advantageous to change your target setting, if you live in the UK and normally use that site, it is unlikely that that would be the cause of the failure. Generally if you can add a snipe to Gixen it should be able to place the bid, providing the price does not preclude it, at the end of the auction.
Now you have lost access to the snipe, Mario will be the only one that can look into the detailed cause.

Unfortunately I refreshed the end status page and now it just shows "ended" as status, but it did have something like "unknown error (X)" where X was the number of the error - I tried to find out what that error code meant but wasn't able to find it on the support pages. One thing I noticed, was that my GIXEN settings were set to USA as country and USA as Ebay server country - when it should have been UK. Could that have casued the problem - although when I put in the original item it found it and set up the snipe properly?
Thanks for your advice in advance.

What status did Gixen have for the snipe after the auction had finished?

Post subject: My first trial of Gixen - and it failed to bid for me!
Item Number: 271807269691
I started using GIXEN today and loaded up my bid of 19.01 against a current of 7.50 about 5 hours ago. When I checkec, the auction had finished and the bid of 7.50 had won! I saw no evidence that GIXEN had placed a bid for me - I'm so disappointed as I would have won no doubt.
Please tell me what happened. Did I do something wrong?
