If you used Gixen to place the bid, then it doesn't matter what level the bid was at when you entered it in Gixen - the only thing that matters is what the bid is at the moment that Gixen places its snipe bid on eBay.
So if the high bid had risen to $63 in the period between you typing your bid into Gixen and the time that Gixen placed its snipe, then eBay would not accept your $63.51 bid because it was less than one bid increment above the high bid at the time that the bid was placed (by Gixen) on eBay. |

I see. Thanks Mario.
It's confusing as I entered that bid well before the high bid approached that level.
I did enter a snipe for the auction in British Pounds and it worked fine. |

I lost this one - here was the result in the Gixen email to me:
Item: 221705468894
Title: ONE 5R4 GY BRIMAR TUBE USED TESTED Status (main): BID UNDER ASKING PRICE Status (mirror): BID UNDER ASKING PRICE Your maximum bid: 63.51 Current price: 63.00
This was on ebay.com but in Canadian dollars. Another is coming up in British pounds that I would like to snipe. Can this be related to currency differences? An anomaly? Something else?
Thanks..... |

Nothing special is required, just add the item. If you can add it to Gixen, Gixen will snipe it. |
