Hello Cupid,
in fact, my old password does not contain special characters , and had already worked with gixen , so I did not understand everything : p

OK Cedric,
It may be that Ebay is taking specific measures against your account from logging in via Gixen... usually such measures are temporary so waiting a day without trying to log into Gixen could easily see the problem go away.
If not, it may be necessary for you to verify your account against the Gixen server for Ebay... Instructions for that are given out on a need to know basis so I suggest you contact Mario via email at the support address given on the 'Contact' tab above... and explain that it is as a result of the problems you have explained in this thread that you are doing that.

WHen i tried to login here this is what I get:
Password is not a match. Could not log you in.
eBay refused your password. Please check the following:
1) If you changed your eBay password, it may take up to 24 hours for you to be able to log in to Gixen. This is because it is common for eBay to inserts captcha images in that time period, preventing Gixen from logging in on your behalf.
2) Try to log in with the same username/password combination directly at the ebay website. If this fails, you have to resolve the problem with ebay directly.
3) If you use multiple languages / locales, check that your keyboard is set to the right one.
4) Some special characters presented a problem for Gixen in the past. If you use an unusual character in your ebay password, please let us know what it is (never email your full password, just the character in question).
5) If you changed your ebay password, the new password applies to Gixen as well. All the snipes scheduled with the old password are invalid and you have to re-enter them. You can no longer see the old sniping entries.
6) Finally, as of May 21st 2014, you may have to associate your account with Gixen IPs. You can do that by using Gixen socks proxy, by following instructions on gixen.com/whatsmyip.php
I did not change my ebay password, and I think I tried everything
i can log on ebay :)

Post subject: could not login
Hello,
since this morning ? or maybe longer, I can no longer connect to the site, and the program.
When I try to connect to the program , I was told that my country is not recognized and that the default will be used , I click ok and then I get an error (101) couldn't login
I tried to reinstall gixen , remove the .ini file, run the usual administrator but nothing happens ...
could you help me please?
I did not change the password ebay and I still know connect to the ebay website

It appears you're right. I ran Gixen as the administrator and it created the INI file and now works fine. Thank you very much.

Did you install it on your computer with an id that has greater permissions than the one you use to run it?
I suspect that the problem lies with the permissions that you have to update and create the .ini file on your computer.

I am using the latest version 1.4.2. I have tried reloading Gixen both with and without saving the password - no change.
I did delete the INI file and now Gixen asks for the password each time (with no errors). But it does not automatically regenerate the INI file so I imagine I must now reload Gixen to create it ?
I suspect my initial problem was that the file name of the directory holding the Gixen files was contaminated (It had changed after I originally loaded Gixen) and Gixen couldn't find the INI file. The directory name is now fixed.

My suggestion would be to find the file called 'gixen.ini', in the same directory as you have the GDM executable stored... and delete it... That is the file that your incorrect password is stored in, perhaps the GDM is having some difficulty updating it.

Are you using the latest GDM version (1.4.2)? Also, does this happen if you don't save the password in GDM, but enter it each time instead?

Post subject: login
I had a previous problem where I could not login. That
has been cured. But now whenever I start the program I get
the same error as before : "Could not get country, using
default" followed by "ERROR (101): COULD NOT LOGIN" and
then the GIXEN dialog box pops up. Next I get another box
"Could not get item list. API returned : ERROR (101): COULD
NOT LOGIN". However I am able to open settings and
"change" the password shown as "saved" by Gixen and then
login.
I've noticed the password displayed at login is only 11 digits
where my eBay password is 13 digits long. I don't know if
that's significant or not.
If I logout of Gixen and then attempt to restart it I again
get error 101 and must go back into settings to reset the
password. I have sniped a couple of eBay actions successfully
after shutting down my computer so Gixen apparently
remembers my password correctly. Only when I start it each time it is trying to use the wrong password.
