Please note that import watchlist is a convenience feature, and not essential. Lately ebay has sometimes been inserting captchas when trying to import a watchlist. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't work - please just insert items manually by item id.
As for "odd" status messages, that's far more important. I haven't noticed anything out of ordinary when it comes to sniping. Please post item ids in question or email me and I will investigate. |

I have only used Gixen a few times, but it it does not reliably importing my Watch List. This item is an example--I've logged out and back in to both eBay and Gixen, and this postcard never makes it across the Great Divide. It is an auction and not a Buy it Now.
321597528742
I've also gotten several odd end of auction notices, including two that said I had lost when in fact I had one.
I am not yet finding Gixen reliable. |

I'm having the same problem. I have several items in my Ebay Watch list that will not import. I had to enter the item numbers manually.
This happens with Firefox 33.1 and with Chrome Version 39.0.2171.71 m
Item numbers that won't load that I have NOT entered manually are:
400813147471
331395752754
181596237425
321601496080 (test item, not really interested)

I'm having the same issue. Several items were added to my watch list last night and this morning and none are showing on my Gixen list when I imported it. They are items ending in about 6 days. Is there a limit on the # of items you can have? Also, I just had an item ending in 6 days show as ended 321602942349, when the auction was active. Importing the Ebay watch list again it was removed from my list. Happened before too! I don't know if there's any fix, but wanted to report it! |

Emmy_lou12,
Auction prices are only updated periodically from Ebay, if you want real time updates of prices I recommend the use of the Gixen Desktop Manager since that updates the auction prices using your own computers' resources. |

I'm not able to import my watch list either. I manually imported a few items but now they haven't updated, like the current bid is different than what's on eBay. I've tried logging in and out several times. |

Is it normal for the service to cut my watch list to 50 items when imported? I have 73 currently. |

Ryan,
The examples you gave are of 'Buy It Now' only items, since they are not auctions and hence you can not snipe these you should not expect Gixen to import them from your watch list. |

everylightoriginal,
If you are not getting any error messages and/or instructions when you attempt to use these features I think it is best if you contact Mario via email at the address provided on the Contact tab above.
He may then be able to provide specific instructions for your account to help you with the interaction between Gixen servers and Ebay.
By design, old snipes are retained for only a couple of days after the auction has completed.
In the mean time you can, of course, use the work around of adding your snipes manually via the 'Add' button. |

Logging In is always successful, but I don't see any previous items nor am I able to import my current Watch List. This has been the case for several days. It's a great service and I sure do miss it... |

Yes, thank you Mark, I agree.
The "glitch" (if I can call it that without getting a lightning bolt visit me again) happened when the Day/Hour/Minutes time turned over at the top of the hour... And the minutes got dropped! It only gave number of days and hours left, not the minutes (for countdown precision). It looked momentarily as if there would be no display for those critical last hour, minutes countdown before the snipe launched. It displayed how many days and hours until auction's end, but omitted the minutes! It was off by one hour (59 minutes) by my clocks, anyway.
Like I said, it looks to be well again :)
Thanks for the kind reply. This place is full of nice folks.

As far as I am aware the Gixen servers work in a time-zone that does not have daylight saving time changes... Gixen only displays the remaining time left on an auction, not the end time... so there should not be any issues related to the time shifts that occasionally happen in your local time-zone. |

Regarding my ebay item #161486055184 : the Gixen timeclock subspace anomaly has healed itself.
The ebay endtime display and the Gixen endtime display now are matching (I used my atomic clock to referee between the two while toggling between sites on my phone).
The issue centered on the Gixen snipe display page dropping the minutes from its' time display underneath my item altogether... now, it's all better. Ordinarily, I might think it was just my mind not grokking the clock... but I wrote down what was going on between displays before coming here to ask for help.
So is it the Chicoms again? Dragon Days and all that? Thank you for hosting both the site snipe features and this wonderfully helpful, cathartic forum. That is my new religion, I am Roman Cathartic LOL
Thank you. We will now return to the regularly understandable conundrums of this community. Really, you guys are great, thank you for true. |

161486055184 <- OKAY So, there's my item and y Gixen page seems to be running ONE HOUR behind the end time being displayed in the auction listing??
Heavens! What'll I DO? Please be patient with my replies; I've only used this forum one time before, and I ride a QWERTY phone, God help me. And my M key is sticking. You might have to fill in the blanks. [Right now they're thinking, She's sniping using that POS? YES! I Am! LOL ]
If it's like, Last of the Mohicans, don't sweat it. I will find you! Ha ha ha thanks, everyone and anyone - especially MasterM Himself :)

Gixen doesn't use eBay API, no sniping service does. It works by web scraping - and the same way it can happen that you are asked to verify your account, this can happen to Gixen. |

Interesting. These were all the same type of item, but from different sellers. Different items worked just fine.
Is this something eBay inserts into the API response? I've not seen captcha images as a general rule doing things on the ebay site itself. Have you been able to figure out at all what might trigger the captcha images?
BTW, thanks for responding and for the site. Gixen's a great tool! |

Still no Watch List import. I can log in, but clicking the "Import Watch List" does nothing. |
Very weird. I just now re-logged in again (without logging out), and there was my Watch List! :D
It originally LOOKED like I was logged in; saw my name at the bottom with my expiration date, etc., but no List. Entered my name/password again (without logging out), and my Watch List appeared.
Go figure! |

I also can't get any of my Watched Items list at all. I do have plenty of Watched Items on eBay, but Gixen isn't finding anything.
Any clues? |

I use it quite extensively, and it's quit working for some (not all) items. Here's a list:
151478871584
171544916691
361118337718
251722027480
381056133355
They're all in my Gixen list on eBay and when I try to import the list in Gixen, none of them come in.
Thanks. |
