Ebay always lists the bids in order of greatest to lowest... it also only ever shows the required amount of any proxy bid to outbid the next highest bid. So as in this case where a higher bid is placed it is entirely possible for the amount you see against a bid to rise as other bids are placed... however the time that the original proxy bid was placed is a constant.
Post subject: Can someone please explain what happened with the bidding!
This is regarding auction #151429042824. I'm a bit confused. Auctioned ended at 10:04:39. Gixen placed my bid 2 seconds before at 10:04"37. The winning bid though was placed at 03:20:46. Isn't the bid time the time the bid is actually executed or was that when the proxy bid was set up? I thought the bid times was when the bid was actually placed. No? Can someone please explain this. I don't understand. Thanks much!
