So I went and strengthened my password, but that did not help. What helped was persistence I made a few more login attempts, and it finally worked. I have probably had 50 successful bids since then using Gixen. If you have previously logged in to Gixen, have you recently changed your password on Ebay?.. That can prompt this issue to occur and then it is best to stop trying for at least 24 hours. Ebay usually only imposes it temporarily. <br /> <br />The presumed cause is that Ebay detects you logging in via a different location (Gixen servers) and puts a block in the form of a captcha in place to prevent any fraud that might be being attempted.
