I was looking at the actual ebay website and it said the maximum bid was GBP 34 on an item, but Gixen randomly decided to change the max bid and said it was GBP 58. I increased my max bid on Gixen and then the highest bid decreased to what the ebay website had been saying all along - GBP 34. Super confused! Also as a general question, this is my first time using Gixen and I was just wondering how it actually puts the bids in, does it only do it at the end or when you're outbid, because I've been outbid on this item, and I'm kind of confused as to when Gixen will kick in and outbid the other person/people.
In order for others to investigate specific issues about specific items please provide the auction number(s).
The point of sniping is that the bids are placed right at the end of the auction so that others have no time to react to your bid... that is Gixen's purpose... of course if the auction price is already too high when the auction completes your bid can not be placed, and that is why it gets highlighted here on Gixen.
