Hi there, I don't know what the words in my title mean (I'm a 'puter dunce), nor do I understand how to fix it; but I do know that this afternoon something seems to have messed up my Gixen. I've got a lot of bids set up - running from tonight over the course of the coming week+. A few hours ago I received emails saying that I'd won a few of those items. I logged on over here to delete them and to see when next items were due. It was then that I discovered my Gixen was in a mess. It is saying that it's cancelled my bids due to me needing verification. I've logged in and out of eBay, and everything is fine there. I don't know what verification it could be talking about. Strangely, Gixen is still placing snipe bids for me on the items it's saying that it's cancelled bids on (??). When I first logged on and saw all my bids cancelled (and even though I'd won the items it's saying the bids on), I panicked and deleted the bids ending tonight and re-entered them so they're "scheduled" again. No problems.. except after the first auction ended, my Gixen "cancelled" all my remaining re-entered bids citing "verification needed" - but again it has still placed bids on, and I've won, items that it's saying bids are cancelled for. I don't understand the problem or how to fix it. The issue must have began some time this afternoon as this morning everything appeared fine. Again: while Gixen is saying the bids are cancelled, it is still placing them for me. This is good - it's just making me nervous when I see a page full of cancelled bids that I want placed. There's obviously no point me re-entering them all - I tried that and, after the first one ends, they all revert back to cancelled bids (citing "verification") again. Can someone please explain to me how I go about getting my Gixen to work properly? I use Gixen on my mobile (iPhone), so none of the info on that "Gixen socks proxy" page is relevant to me. Here is the item number of one of the things I won a li'l while ago from one of my "cancelled" Gixen snipes - 191230281241 What is happening here? Thanks, Me :)
Hiya Mark,
Yep.. you're spot on! Thanks for calming my frayed nerves. I see that it is Mirror placing the bids for me. Phew!
Sadly, Mirror doesn't show me (via a big yellow stripe across the entry) if one of my bids will be too low - heh, I can usually be tempted to add an extra ten or so bucks if the the pack, with their foolish/reckless up-bidding, has driven up the price too soon.
Hmmmz.. or maybe this is a good thing? Now I should just stick to my initial "maximum amount I wanna pay" and leave it at that.
Ahhh bugger it.. I'm not that strong... *runs off to check where all my bids are sitting at moment* :D

The bids you are getting from Gixen must be from the fact that you have a Mirror subscription... the Main appears to be being targeted by Ebay at the moment... I have the same issue.
If you select the Mirror tab you will see that your snipes are still scheduled on that server.
