Item # 251467281663
Please see above item #. That is the 3rd auction that Gixen's system failed to bid for me. I'm sorry I only saved that last auction number.
In the last 2 days I have tried to snipe 3 separate auctions. I have missed them all. Gixen did not bid (apparently), and got this error "unknown error (3)".
My high price was far above the winning auction price in each case.
Today, Ebay asked me to verify because "it appears I'm using a different computer".
I'm not using a different computer. However, I did re-verify.
Also, I'm wondering if "using a different computer" refers to the last time Gixen entered a snipe for me?
About 5 hours after verifying, I lost this 3rd auction, (referenced above) and was given the same error message as before. "unknown error (3)"
Do I need to re-register for a Gixen account due to the Ebay re-verification process?
Thanks for any help! |

Mario can help... but you need to email him and request it because you and he will need to keep the details of the solution private between you. |

ebay item # 310888151682
Lost a bid due to UNKNOWN ERROR (3). When I click through on Gixen to "view error" It shows me an ebay screen capture that is waiting for the bid to be confirmed. Can you help for future bids? Thanks. |

I am also losing auctions due to the 'Unknown Error (3)' and would be grateful for any other suggestions. I have checked that my details are correct, placed some manual bids to confirm that I am not being asked to verify my details and re-installed the desktop manager (1.3.9). I am not a Russian user and I have UK localisation settings in place.
The last 3 auctions lost: -
281278474974
331144813075
181340974343
All auctions ended without any bids being placed.
Any ideas to get this resolved are greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks |

As Mario says, if it does continue to happen you will need to email him so that he can help you sort this out. |

Are you performing the verification multiple times, or is there a way to log on bypassing that procedure? | I just noticed the text message confirmation at work last week, and then noticed it again when I tried posting something to sell yesterday at home. It hasn't happened since.
mario wrote: | DanQuixote, please email me and include the item id for which this happened. I will help you resolve this. | I changed my password to try to see if that would fix it, as I saw that the text message thing may have been due to weak passwords (my original and new seem pretty strong though), so I don't have the list of failed auctions.
I'll try to find/schedule a new auction for gixen to try again on and give you the info, if the error happens again. |

I'm getting the same "Unknown Error (3)" as well, most likely the exact same issue so I didn't want to start a new thread.
I've noticed that when I log into ebay at work (different IP than home) in the last week it asked me to be texted an authorization to log in. Then when I came home it did the same thing. I'm guessing that must be the reasoning for the error.
Anything I can do on my end to resolve this, or should I just email in to have you manually fix it like you said you can do?
Note: I manually bid and won an auction after getting this error, then tried to use this service again to test and it had the same error. |

It's alright now. Ebay stopped asking me to verify my account. Strange that it lasted a day and just disappeared on its own. |

I believe that once you complete the verification process once then it should not happen every time.. and so Gixen will be able to bid for you again.
So I would advise completing that verification on your computer before trying to schedule any more snipes. |

Lately I've been getting UNKNOWN ERROR (3) for all my snipes due to the fact that ebay now has a verification process when logging in. Is there a way to bypass that so that the snipes can work again? |
