I agree that this would not be difficult to make, but it would take significant space in the UI and possibly confuse some users. I like to keep as little information as needed in the interface, and have had much more useful information in the past that I resisted adding to the interface.

Hi Rondy,
Yes, I am familiar with database queries... I even have experience of web based development.
I don't think the issue relates to an inability for what you suggest to be implemented, or even the difficulty of doing so... I know Mario has far more experience than I.... No the only issue really is whether a further complication of the display and the background processing is justified for the extra benefit it provides to some...
For me it would not add any benefit to my use of Gixen... and unlike you I do always have a mixture of currencies amongst my snipes... but I can see that it may be more useful for others... really something like this needs a lot of demand from the Gixen user community before it becomes worthwhile providing to all. It also require ongoing support... I think you might be surprised how many existing users are confused by any changes of this sort, and there are always new users coming along that appreciate the simple, easy to use, approach that Gixen has always provided.

Thanks Mark,
I think that it would be useful even without using the API (I always enter my snipes on the site).
It should be a simple query of the tables that stores the bids.
For example, display next to my username the result of the below query:
select sum(bid) from table where status='scheduled' and user='session user id';

Post subject: Sum of scheduled bids
Hi Mario,
Thanks for your great service :D .
I have a small (easy?) suggestions,
#1 is the most "needed".
#2 and #3 would be cool to have.
1) Display the total amount of bids scheduled (sum of scheduled bids) next to your username. This is so we know how much money we would have to pay in case we win all the auctions at our max bid (shipping costs would be missing though, but at least we get some information).
2) Display total amount of bids won (sum of won bids at winning price). This would reset to zero once we "Purge Completed".
3) Display the sum of won bids (at winning price) + sum of scheduled bids. Basically a sum of #1 + #2. (How much we have spent + how much we could spend).
I know there could be different currencies, but most of the time we are actually using the same currency across your auctions (your country's currency, or you could add the above sums for each currency present in your "Gixen Main" list, which would be great, but it could make things a little more complex.
What do you think?
Thanks!
