There is no need for you to change anything, the default settings will work just fine. The primary advantage of a Mirror account is having more than one server placing your bids at the last moment... that happens automatically once you are subscribed. The options that you can change are there for you to tailor your sniping if you wish, but none of them give you an extra advantage in all circumstances on all auctions. Personally, I prefer a slightly larger offset than the default so that I gain the advantage of the bid increment rule... but it is only a preference.
These things are options because different people prefer slightly different operations and displays.
There really isn't a 'better' and 'best' there is just 'different'.
As I already said, earlier in this thread, I prefer a higher offset than the default of 6 because it works best for me when there are other snipers bidding on the items I am interested in... but everyone is interested in different things with different biding profiles.
It is probably best to set things as you feel most comfortable... you can always change them again in the future if you feel they are not working as well for you as you want.

Thank you for being so attentive to these posts.
I just subscribed, but want to make sure that I'm not paying to screw this up! For a newbie, are you saying that it's best to leave the default "mirror" and "offset" settings to "6" like they are? I know you don't want to tell people what to do, but please tell me what to do. :D

You don't really need to do anything different than before. Your bids are now automatically added to mirror as you add them on main, and the default settings are sensible. You can see status of snipes on mirror server if you click on "Gixen Mirror - Miami" tab.

Post subject: Just purchased Gixen Mirror... Now what?
Just bought Gixen Mirror to ensure that I win more of my items.
Just a bit confused on the new settings and if I should chance the time of the mirror bid or what?
Sorry, just not really smart when I comes to this stuff.
