Post subject: Problem logging into Gixen with new Ebay password
Hi Mario.
I do log in on
www.gixen.com,
but this still doesn't work with my new Ebay password. Why do I need to put in my new password each time that I log in and why doesn't Gixen recognize my new Ebay password? Has this something to do with the cookies not saving my new password? Thanks again. Lyn

2006lynr,
Please do not login from a saved search or a bookmark. If you have to use a bookmark, bookmark
http://www.gixen.com
and nothing else. You have to log in every time.

Post subject: Ebay new password is not seen by Gixen
Hi Mario,
Thanks for all your input.
I did forget to tell you that I had no problem with Gixen when I've changed my Ebay password over the last few months. This appears to be a new problem that I'm having.
I use Win XP and Internet Explorer version 8.0.6001.18702
I log in directly from a saved search on IE and not from my desk top.
I've tried switching off my PC again and I have the same problem each time. Ebay is fine with my new password. When I log into Gixen, the message that I receive is as follows: Password is not a match. Ebay has refused your password. If I go back to the password on Gixen each time that I log in and retype the new password, I can access Gixen at any time, as long as I don't switch my PC off.
Thanks. Lyn

OK, when you say "Gixen does not accept my password", please tell me:
1) What interface do you use? Do you log in through web, or do you use Gixen Desktop Manager?
2) What do you mean by "Gixen does not accept password"? What error message do you get?

Hi Cupid.
I don't have a problem logging into Ebay with my new password and as long as I keep my PC switched on, Gixen seems to pick up my Ebay password. As soon as I switch off my PC and turn it back on, Gixen doesn't except my Ebay password. I have to retype it in and then its great till I switch off my PC again! All help appreciated.

Lyn,
I'm confused, are you able to log into Gixen using your new ebay credentials, or not?

Post subject: Ebay Password gets lost when I switch off my PC
Hi Mario. Still having a problem with Gixen not accepting my new Ebay password. I lose my Gixen account info once I switch off my PC. If I enter my new Ebay password again on Gixen, my bid info is still there. How do I fix this so my PC doesn't have 2 remain on indefinately if I want to place a bid? Thanks again. Lyn

Lyn, after changing your password it can take up to 24 hours for ebay to stop inserting captcha images. Wait for 24 hours, do not try to log in to Gixen during this time, then try again.
