Well, the on;y reasons that I bid early are to remove a BIN price that I am not prepared to pay, or if I don't really want what is on offer but I'd be prepared to pay more than the current auction price if no-one else is interested in paying any more. That said, there is less likelihood that the seller will end the listing early if you have expressed some interest, often just asking a question about it is enough to do that though, without the need to place any early bid. Even just adding it to your watch list indicates to most sellers that there is some interest in what they are selling. A slight advantage, on auctions with no bids at all, is that placing a bid ensures that the listing can not be altered, in that way placing a bid effectively fixes the listing until it ends. Yes, you can edit snipes in the GDM, you first select the snipe you wish to edit then push the Edit button near the top to the right of the Add button and to the left of the Delete button... that brings up a new window for you to make the changes and confirm the change.
Post subject: Bidding using Gixen + Ebay
Hello.
When using Gixen, is there any advantage to manually entering a bid at Ebay? Not a last second bid to win but a bid to let the seller know you're serious.
Also, any way to edit your bid using the Gixen Desktop Manager?
