Please re-download GDM, version 1.3.9, this problem is now fixed.
Thank you again for reporting this and especially for providing a reproducible case, it's been an issue for quite some time. Please email me for some gratis mirror subscription. |

JD, I also see both prices, however GDM doesn't have any issues when I run it and the right price is picked up. |

I believe it's consistently wrong for every item with an auction currency in GBP. I don't see it with auctions in USD, and I haven't tested with any other foreign currencies. If I press the "Refresh Gixen Status" button, the high bids return to GBP, but then 5 minutes later the price refresh changes them to USD. I'm willing to try a test with other currencies if you want me to. I'm using GDM v 1.3.8
Just a thought: On my ebay watch list, it shows the high bid in the auction currency and also in USD. I don't recall this being a selectable option, but if it is, that might be why you don't see the same behavior. There seems to be something account-specific affecting the price refresh. Is the username and pw used when refreshing prices? |

I can test things from a US IP address and with a US ebay account, and I have in the past, however I am still unable to replicate the problem. Do you see this problem always, always with the same items, or occasionally only? |

Mario,
Thanks for your fast reply. FYI, I'm running GDM from a USA IP address (USD is also my default currency with ebay). I notice the problem on items whose currency is GBP.
Again, the initial fetching from the servers shows the correct high bid in GBP, however, the subsequent price refreshes are what show the high bid incorrectly in USD. Hope this helps. |

JD, I still don't see the problem, even with these items. It may be a location thing. I'll see that I find a VPN service that will provide me with a UK IP address to run GDM on. |

Here are two auctions that will hopefully allow you to replicate the bug:
181045777070
170960887816
Another problem this can cause is when the incorrectly displayed high bid in USD is higher than the max bid in GBP, GDM highlights the listing which may cause someone to believe they are losing the auction and increase their max bid or delete the item prematurely. |

There is a bug that shows converted price in USD instead of GBP price for UK listings. It doesn't happen always, but it does happen. I haven't fixed this yet as I couldn't replicate the problem yet on my end. It's just a display issue, it does not affect sniping. |

|
I've just joined GIXEN and have noticed that the MAX bid price is normally displayed in US$ even if the auction is in UK$ (Stirling).
If you EDIT an item or FORCE an update then the values are displayed in UKGBP , however when the AUTO update is done the value are then overwritten in US$ again.
An interesting feature that caused me to question my sanity for a few minutes. Perhaps a change to the AUTO update process is needed to display in the auction currency value and NOT to convert to US$. |

yes :)
Using the "Refresh GIXEN Status" button in GDM restore the right values.
Anyway this is not impact sniping process. |

rahan1976, this can't be true, because the refresh status picks up values from Gixen, not from ebay, and the background process is the one that updates them every few hours. They may not be always up-to-date, but that doesn't matter for sniping. |

FYI when using the "Refresh GIXEN Status" button in GDM, the High Bid values are restored with the good content.
But after a while, they become wrong when the auto background refreshing prices process starts.
Pushing the "Refresh GIXEN Status" button put them back with the right values.

I'll see that I get this fixed soon. Note that this will not affect sniping, and the price is recognized correctly in the web interface. |

Yes, that is excellent thanks... it is an error, the GDM is not recognising the EUR and instead picking up the Approx figure... Mario will need to look at it when he gets some time... He has been very busy keeping up with the changes needed for the main site, so it might take a few days for him to be able to get to the GDM desktop problems that eBays' recent changes have now caused.
You have also alerted me that I am not up to date with my version of GDM... 1.3.8 (as you are using) is the latest which has solved my 360 problem, but has obviously introduced the one that you have highlighted here. |

As far as I am aware, all values on Gixen (and displayed in the GDM) are in the currency of the auction.
Can you provide examples where this is not the case?
At the moment, for me with my target set to the United Kingdom, only current prices in US dollars are being displayed, all the rest (those in GBP and EUR) get an 'Error 360' when it tries to update them... this is due to recent changes that eBay have made to the format of the auction pages. |

Hi,
during the auction is in GDM in column "High Price" actual "intermediate" price shown in US$, not in auction currency. After end of auction is "winning price" shown in true auction currency.
