This is a failure to detect an 'OUTSNIPE' (a later bid that is higher than yours), since this has to happen after the auction is complete it has to be a separate process from the normal 'OUTBID' detection, which is done when the bid is submitted. This does occasionally happen when eBay is slow to report the auction result on the auction page.
I'll look into this nevertheless, there may be a way to improve this.

k.l.mabon,
It happened for the same reason, a failure to detect a later bid that was higher than yours.
It is only an issue if the item is part of a Group and the result of the auction affects what will happen to later snipes.

Post subject: Incorrect win reported
Gixen reports the I won item 251169211991 for $2.80 whereas someone else won it for $3.84.
Minor problem - great service, thank you!!!
