There should be a warning, or at least there is one in the web interface when you add an ending auction. Plus all ended and snipes for which maximum bid is lower than the current high bid are painted in yellow.
I do allow users to enter them, however, for a few reasons. One is that for some users it's a short-term management tool. The other one is because I allow for possibility that there is a problem of some kind that users can tell me about, and that I can fix then.

Cupid - Yes
Mario - That's entirely possible - didn't even consider that option. I entered that snipe from a search result that might have been "stale". I didn't notice any errors or anything else unusual when I entered the bid, but I didn't really look. I'm so use to GDM working so well I guess I assumed when it was accepted everything was good to go. I need to pay more attention!
I do find it odd that GDM would allow a "late entry" of a snipe without throwing up any error, though. Guess it assumes the human entering the snipe knows what they're doing!! :)
Thanks again for all your great work!!!
p.s. having issues with captcha images not refreshing when posting reply. Had to refresh page in browser to show correct image after entry error. Used to be the same captch all the time!!

From what I can see, this snipe has been added 23 minutes after auction already ended.

Post subject: GDM didn't bid, says scheduled but listing has closed!?!
GDM 1.3.5 (is this latest? Mario, can you please put the current version number on the announcement/download post so we can know what's current?)
Had a weird error tonight. Entered a snipe, 7 hours before closing, just checked and the bid was never entered. Auction closed with no bids actually, and at the scheduled time. GDM shows "Time to End = ENDED" and "Status = Scheduled" !?! I hit "Refresh Gixen Status" and nothing changes. Logged into Gixen.com, and it shows "TimeToEnd=ENDED Bid=2.34 Current=0.99 Status=ENDED". Go to ebay, auction ended with no bids... :(
I had three successful wins in last two days, still show on my Gixen.com page, and one more scheduled to end in 9 hours... will this one go through? The one that didn't wasn't important, but this next one is! I'm going to bed now, but I will check this thread when I get up, before the auction closes... might have to bid manually this time, as I really want this next one!!
Mario?
