It does not matter, you don't need them set to the same time, if the earlier server has a problem the later one then is able to place its' bid... otherwise the later one is redundant after a bid is accepted by eBay.
Whatever happens you never raise the amount that you have to pay on eBay, even if two bids of the same amount are placed by Gixen... this is how eBay works, it only raises the price you have to pay to outbid other bidders ... not as a result of multiple bids on the same account.

No, the mirror bid will likely not be accepted by ebay unless the main one fails.

thanks, that clarifies it
in the end it's just a question of luck
and about the mirror (i have a subscription) if i have a 6s on main site and 3s in the mirror site, does this mean that i will bid two times? or the mirror only bids if the main site has a problem?
thanks

OK, no it isn't just a matter of a greater likelihood of a late bid when you have a lower offset, though that is also a consideration, especially if you don't have a Mirror subscription.
There is no delay in bid increment rule, it is sometimes possible to have two bids accepted in the same second that avoid it though, but it has to be less than a second between the times of the bids for this to happen.
I will try to explain why it is an advantage to have a higher offset by means of an example I will make up.
Suppose we have an auction that has a current high bid of 100, the current auction price, based on the second high bidder, is only 50 though.
You are prepared to pay 100.01 for it, but there is another sniper that is prepared to pay 100.50 for it and has a snipe scheduled for 6 seconds before the auction ends. If you set your snipe to be 3 seconds it will be rejected because the auction price will already be more than your maximum, however if you set your snipe to be more than 6 seconds it will be accepted and you will be the winner because the other snipe will be rejected because it does not meet the bid increment rule, the auction price being 100.01 (your bid) when it is supposed to be placed.

Post subject: offset times and automatic bid
hello,
i' read some information in this forum about the offset times for the snipes, and i have some questions...
can someone explain, like if i was 6 years old ;-), why 6s is better than 3s?
in 3s is just the problem of the bid not be placed on time?
how does the increment rule work in our favor in 6s and not in 3s?
is this increment rule in ebay automatic or has a delay?
if we found that a auction has a automatic bidder, is there anything we can do to win?
thanks
