Yes. Right clicking on the shortcut and running through the "troubleshoot compatibility" drill in Windows 7 worked for me too. Original advice: "...deleting ssl dlls from Gixen Desktop Manager directory (three files or so), and installing OpenSSL for Windows from scratch." failed after repeated tries and I would have given up on the the program if I had not seen this suggestion. |

Some have reported success from setting up a short-cut and then setting the properties of that short-cut to compatibility mode. |

I've just tried using the desktop manager on my win 7 machine and it's failing to start. After login it comes up with
"Socket error #10060 Connection timed out"
Last time I used it on win XP it seemed ok. Don't know if it's a local setting or a conflict with the OS.
Any suggestions? |
