Hi, Firstly want to thank you guys for providing such a great service - have been using Gixen off and on for a year or 2 flawlessly. I had my first failure for item 320813880928 - i had a bid $100 higher than the max bid - i can take a screen shot of the snipe setup - it's still the same, but the bid didn't go through. I really really wanted this item and its a shame I missed out as it is SUCH a cheap price. Is there any reason why this didn't work? Cheers!
Post subject: Over bid
That is a good idea to bid way higher knowing that you will only pay at maximum one increment above its real value, bid by the first loser.

Ah that makes sense:( I did change it about an hour before hand... damn... my bad. I was definitely refreshing the page - but only cos i was lazy and thought i would get gixen to update the status of the auction - should have been refreshing the actual ebay ad.
I was using chrome - from memory i think a dialog was coming up saying if i wanted to resend the form, i just kept clicking ok each time not thinking about what i was doing - silly me.
Damn - won't do that again - thanks again for making such an awesome product guys, i have told many of my friends about great a product it is, hence why i thought i would let you know that i had a problem. Seems it was PEBKAC after all..
Cheers

remunro,
Which browser do you use? ... It would be nice to be able to work out why the code designed to prevent you from continually updating snipes by using the Refresh button is not preventing you from doing so.
In any case, the Refresh button is not a good way to try to get Gixen to update its' pages, instead use the Add button without any details of a snipe in the boxes.

remunro,
Yes - I can see a bunch of edits at the auction end. I bet that you made an edit, and then kept hitting refresh... Unfortunately each refresh was repeating the previous edit, effectively canceling the snipe.
I have a code in place to prevent this, however I still see it happening from time to time. I cannot replicate it myself.
