It's not reading the time remaining from eBay but referring to the value that is already stored on Gixen.
To provide what you suggest would require going back to eBay for every snipe that you have scheduled, it just isn't feasible these days with the number of users Gixen has and the number of snipes they have scheduled. |

Wasn't thinking realtime updates only updates on a manual page refresh which should take about the same resources as when adding an item. It's already reading time left and that gets refreshed on reloading. |

That is normal operation, the current auction price is only updated periodically on the site. It is not essential for sniping and is provided for convenience only.
The amount of resources required by the site in order to provide real time updates would be prohibitive and no doubt affect other essential functions. It was tried many years ago and caused no end of problems.
The Desk Top Manager does provide real time updates, that uses your computer to retrieve the data from eBay direct. |

but current bid is not updated on refresh.
