Hi had a quick scout around but couldnt find this exact grouping request. Basically link 2 auctions, second later auction only gets bid on if earlier auction suceeded. To illustrate the scenario which lead to the request... Palm Dry Trousers auction end 1pm on Sunday Palm Dry Cag auction end 2pm Sunday I'd only want the Cag if I won the Trousers. If I didnt get them both i'd just buy a 1 piece drysuit. Just thinking about implementation - would suggest its a new group type (possibly called an 'inclusive' group). You could have multiple items in the group, but all subsequent auvtions are cancelled if any auction is lost in the time line. regards Graham, a gixen subscriber.
This is already an implemented feature, known as a 'Contingency Group' here on Gixen.
You have to enable it on your Settings page before it becomes available.
You should also take note that if you win an earlier auction and not a later one you still have to pay for the first.

Post subject: Adittional usefulness
This could additionally be useful when you wish to buy multiple items from a single seller who is prepared to combine postage costs.

Post subject: Grouping - bid only on successful win of another item
Hi had a quick scout around but couldnt find this exact grouping request.
Basically link 2 auctions, second later auction only gets bid on if earlier auction suceeded.
To illustrate the scenario which lead to the request...
Palm Dry Trousers auction end 1pm on Sunday
Palm Dry Cag auction end 2pm Sunday
I'd only want the Cag if I won the Trousers. If I didnt get them both i'd just buy a 1 piece drysuit.
Just thinking about implementation - would suggest its a new group type (possibly called an 'inclusive' group). You could have multiple items in the group, but all subsequent auvtions are cancelled if any auction is lost in the time line.
