My favourite settings are 8 and 6. 10 and 6 is also fine. You got it right.

I've been wondering about this too. I saw in another thread that setting the time a bit EARLIER (like 8-10 seconds?) can help prevent losing auctions to other snipers due to being too close on bid increments (getting your only slightly higher maximum bid in before their lesser amount snipe).
Do you have any suggestions as to best timings for this and which one to move? I just increased Chicago to 10 seconds and left the mirror site at 6 seconds. Does that sound about right? Could I move mirror to 3 seconds or is that too short?

I had the same question, whether I should offset the bid times, but when the mirror picked off an important auction for me I decided to just leave well enough alone.

Not really, although this helps you avoid "double bid" in bid history that sometimes happens when you keep the offset at the same value for main and mirror. So if you want to hide the fact that you are using an automated tool / gixen, that way you can do it.

Post subject: Bid offset for main and mirror
Hi there! I've been using Gixen for a while now and absolutely love it! I subscribe to Gixen mirror and have so far left the bid offset for both main and mirror on the default of 6. I was wondering if perhaps I should change the mirror to be a couple of seconds less than the main (or if it makes a difference)? Thank you!
