I have just become privy to gixen and usually bid snipe manually as I will typucally put in my maximum with about 10 seconds to go, press "place bid" and then it will bring me to a final page where I typically click "confirm bid" with about 4-5 seconds left. Would using gixen prove to be more fruitful. From what I could take away from the information I have already read(a good deal of which goes over my head) is that you set up an automatic gixen bid that bids for you with 3 seconds left. Is there an option to set up a bid with 1 second left?
The benefit of Gixen over what you do is that you can get on with your life doing other things and let Gixen be ruled by the end times of the auctions that you are interested in.
I agree with Mario even later bids are of no benefit, in fact they are counter productive.

Why would you need 1-second snipes? They offer zero benefit over three-second snipes.
