3 seconds is available to mirror subscribers, as is 8, 10, 12, and 15. But what I keep repeating is that I see little value in anything under 6 seconds. Sniping helps against manual bidders, not other snipers. In fact, too short offset is counter-productive due to ebay bid increment rules. Personally, I always use 8 seconds, because I want my bid to be there *before* all other snipers.
I agree with Mario, bidding later with the same bid amount is not going to win more auctions, it is just more likely that you get an 'Outbid' or 'Bid Below Asking Price' status instead because the other snipe is then placed earlier than your bid.
As our friend John has always told us on this froum, when it comes to setting snipes 'size matters', if you are losing many auctions with whatever status you have to start asking yourself whether the rest of the market is just prepared to pay a bit more than you are.

hi Mario
i have been using gixen a few times, and it only worked once. i am based in Europe. All other times i was outsniped by probably a faster/later one. i have the mirror 6 dollars contribution option too active, and found that Auctionsniper uses 5 seconds as offset. - maybe you could offer a setting to 4 or 5 seconds, 3 seconds might work too even; these days computers and internet communication are quie a bit faster ... regards, -W
