I had the same problem on Firefox 3.6.13 on Windows Vista Ultimate. It only seem to occur with the very first log in attempt, sec and subsequent times it has been okay.

I just had the same exact problem with Firefox. It was my first ever attempt at logging in. I waited about 4 minutes and tried again, and then it logged in fine.

Are you using any ad blockers? They can cause this.

I am having the same problem with Firefox. Cookies are not disabled, but Gixen says they are.

Using google chrome v6 - getting this statement when I try to log in.
Cookies are disabled in your browser. Gixen requires cookies in order to store session id after you log in. Please enable cookies (or add Gixen to the list of sites for which they are accepted) in your browser and sign in again
umm .. cookies are not disabled in the browser so I'm guess it is some sort of coding error.
I know it is a fluke so I'm just wondering what it might be.
