The autotarget setting was never meant to fix this - it's supposed to fix the situations in which an item is truly not visible (e.g. some german items on ebay.com).
This is a bug - and I will see that I fix it.

Mario, thanks for your explanation and for the quick code changes to the import functionality. And I am glad it is working well now.
Mark is still seeing some issue with that item, but I hope now such issues are much rarer and you would be able to find the root cause for that one too. I was able to add this particular item using my ebay.de target and auto-target setting.
Have a great day...

Ok. I apologise, it seems I was wrong about the cause of this problem, it had nothing to do with the currency (it did once before, so that is why I guessed that). Unfortunately I confused the issue with that guess.
Just to be even more clear, Gixen does not use the currency to determine which site to send the bid, Gixen only switches sites from the target that you set in your Gixen settings when visibility on your target site is the problem.
Now Mario has changed the code for the CSV import function so that it does the same as the web interface (automatically looking on another site when it can not find it on the main target site) this problem should not happen again.
I still cannot add item 270704385780, using the web interface, with my target set to the UK and "autotarget" set to 'Yes', even though I can see the item from the UK site, so there is still a combination of settings that does not allow everything.

The parsing logic does not depend, or at least should not depend on the currency. Any target (ebay.com, ebay.de, ebay.co.uk) should parse properly all the currencies. However, since there is too many combinations, for only ebay.com target Gixen parses just about everything correctly. The only exception is auctions visible on ebay.de only. Hence the "autotarget" setting - if something is not visible on ebay.com, Gixen will automatically try to see it on ebay.de, and vice versa.
I hope I explained it, and not made it even more confusing?
There was a fix in the code, it's not just settings, this is why I asked you to try again with the original settings.

Mark, does the parsing logic depend on the currency of listing to determine which ebay site to send the snipe/bid to? I have seen many cases, where sellers cross-list in different currencies. 370481338482 is another example where a German seller has listed in GBP. 270704385780 was listed in canadian dollars as "C $5,50".
Mario, If I find some nice item listed on any ebay site and the shipping cost is reasonable, I just go for it.
And all these items that I try to add using "import CSV" feature, can all be seen with "hxxp://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=<item num>" correctly. If an item is not available for sale in Germany, it won't get displayed with this address and would ask for re-direction to the correct ebay site.
And my "Change ebay target site automatically if needed" was set to Yes all the time.
Yes, but setting the target server back to US, allowed me to add 370481338482 and 270704385780.
I hope I won't see this problem again. Just curious, did you fix anything in the code or just changing the settings made it all work?

OK... Rarely I see a customer who bids on German items bid on Canadian items as well... Return the target server to US, make sure "autotarget" is enabled, and try again. Now everything should work.

Yes, that is a different problem, isn't it?... I suspect that it is the currency of that auction that is causing this.... I thought eBay displayed Canadian Dollars as 'CAD', maybe they have changed that?... Most Canadians seem to list things in US Dollars, does anyone know why?

Post subject: Problem seen again
I am again seeing this problem with 270704385780. And this one is available worldwide. And while adding this thru' the single item add interface, I get "Could not add this item (270704385780)(1)."

Thanks for the quick help. I should have seen this option on the settings page earlier ;)

Ah, I can see why - these items are available only on eBay Germany.
Try the following - change your target server settings (on the Gixen settings page) to eBay Germany, and then try again. Upload page is not as smart as web interface to switch automatically.

Post subject: not able to add certain items using import CSV feature
First off, I just love Gixen :) That's a great piece of work :)
I am presently trying to import some items using "import CSV" feature, but I notice that for certain items, it says "This snipe may have been entered too late into Gixen and may not be executed.". On certain occassions that is for ended items and that is fine, but at times I get that for items with still 6+ days of bidding time left. And interestingly when I add that single item directly on the Gixen web page, it works perfectly. Any suggestions/workarounds?
